What's on while you visit

The lifeblood of Hermanus and surrounding towns and villages on the Cape Whale Coast are all of the annual festivals and events which draw crowds from far and wide.

Hornbill House Hermanus is perfectly positioned for guests to experience one of the world’s most celebrated whale-watching destinations. Every year, from June to November, the majestic Southern Right Whales return to the sheltered bays of Hermanus to calve and mate, creating an unforgettable spectacle right along our coastline.

From the famous cliff paths and viewing points just minutes away, visitors can enjoy unparalleled, up-close sightings — often without needing to step foot on a boat.

Combine the thrill of whale watching with the comfort of our 4-star apartments, and you have the ultimate Cape Whale Coast experience, right at your doorstep.
